Information Session – IPCEI Food & Feed, Biochemicals & Biomaterials
Important Projects of Common European Interest

Fevia warmly invites its members, together with the members of Agoria and Essenscia, to an information session on Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI), with a focus on Food & Feed, Biochemicals and Biomaterials. This information session is organised in collaboration with Flanders’ FOOD and Wagralim, and takes place in the context of Flemish and Belgian participation in the European IPCEI initiatives.
What is an IPCEI?
An IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest) is a European cooperation framework that allows Member States to support exceptional innovative projects that are of strategic importance to Europe. These projects contribute to the development of strong European value chains and address major societal challenges such as sustainability, food security, circularity and strategic autonomy.
For companies, participation in an IPCEI offers the opportunity to:
- take part in large-scale European innovation ecosystems
- position themselves within future strategic value chains
- accelerate innovation and scale‑up through cross‑border collaboration
Why attend this information session?
With this information session, Fevia and its partners aim to:
- clearly and accessibly explain what IPCEIs are and how they work
- provide insight into the opportunities and relevance of IPCEIs for food companies and related sectors
- explain how companies can become involved in IPCEI initiatives, including as an associated partner
- inspire participants through practical experience and lessons learned from previous IPCEI trajectories.
The session is intended for companies wishing to explore whether and how IPCEI can fit into their innovation or growth strategy, regardless of their size or level of maturity.
In the morning there will be a session hosted by B-Trust on BioTech.
