In 2021, Ellen graduated as a biologist from Ghent University, starting at Flanders’ FOOD shortly thereafter as a junior innovation manager. She assists with various projects in the ‘Resilient and Sustainable Agrifood Systems’ and ‘New and Shifting Resources’ programs, where her scientific background and fascination with food are a huge asset.
In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends. Nature walks, swimming, shopping, and catching a film are some of her favourite things to do when out and about. However, occasionally grabbing a bite to eat at a restaurant or whipping up a nice meal with friends is also an absolute must! Ellen also enjoys tending the plants in her vegetable garden and pet sitting all the lovely animals in the neighbourhood.
