Co‑Creating Solutions to Trust Barriers
B-Trust is a European project aimed at increasing the “public acceptance” of the use of biotechnology in the food and bio-based industry, where this can yield societal benefits. The lack of trust and “public acceptance” is considered one of the most pressing barriers to valorization for biotech innovations in Europe, and has risen to prominence among various stakeholders—particularly when it concerns food applications and related fields.
B‑Trust is a European project tackling the “trust gap” in biotech for food and bio‑based industries. After ten co‑creation sessions with consumers, farmers and industry, we’ve pinpointed the key perceptions and perceived risks that hold back innovation. Now we need you—industry leaders, policy‑makers, seed houses, retailers, researchers and funders—to refine our existing solutions and ideate new, practical strategies for embedding trust in biotech applications.
Representatives from industry, policy, research, seed houses, retail and funding bodies—anyone invested in accelerating responsible biotech adoption.
